The description is kinda interesting, but the game doesn't match the expectations it creates (especially since it reached the front page).
I 'won' this game and don't feel any bit like a hero.
"Heroes" are the kind of characters who can do lots of different things that no one else can, or who are willing to make an ultimate sacrifice.

This game would probably be very good if it were a LOT bigger. A non-hero becoming a hero has more to do with leveling, exploration and challenge :\

Still, nice work making a game in so little time

Very good, though simple game! Puzzles must be hard to create, seeing how it's hard to calculate the difficulty people will have. But it's pretty clever to put different kinds of puzzle and to give such subtle hints.
Music is very fitting and the curiosity drove me forward even though this is not the type of game I normally play. X)

Only had a problem on the first question, where I was trying to put a space between the words, and on the last one, where I figured it but typed "me" instead 'xD

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

It really depends. Sometimes, if you're in flow, puzzles just kind of come to you by themselves. For example, I came up with a pretty cool riddle today without doing anything (I will save the riddle for the sequel or some other thing though, so I won't reveal it here.) Then again, other times it can feel impossible to come up with a good, or at least the "right" puzzle :3

I'm glad to hear that so many people enjoyed this even if they usually stay sceptical to this kind of game :D

Did you guess on the last puzzle, or was it one of those things that your brain just automatically translated to first person view? Don't bother answering that XD

Thanks a lot for leaving a review and for playing, dude!

short, but that's forgivable considering the time it took x)

Loved the music; the mechanics and animation are amazing comparing to other short platformers i've played

I just couldn't find the other 2 secrets
Problems i've found:
-Mountain Stall medal didn't unlock somewhy
-I've actually managed to jump offscreen to the right of where you get the double jump 'xD
but I just had to reset and it was ok

Raiyumi responds:

Thanks! Sorry about the medals, they should be working with the latest update!

Very good, fluid controls, nice animation and music. Very good gameplay, with a good tutorial mixed on the introduction, while the latter parts get harder and harder. A few bugs and prolems, but the game is very transparent to the fact it's a Demo, it's unfinished and the developers seems to b very open to the player's comments.

Too bad I can't donate :(
Best I can do is rate and review. And hope the full version will make it! Best of Luck!

I could not rate less than 5

loved the music, the animation, graphics, monsters, dialogues, personalities, secrets, bosses, jokes and references, weapons... and the rest of the stuff that may be listed here :D

it's one of the first times I feel like a flash game was better than many Game Boy games I have played

The issue with the main weapon's speed and range did not bother me too much. Well, it WAS annoying, especially the jump attack. But I see it simply as a skill that is harder to master.

One topic not many people here may have touched is the female empowerment thing (without the need of oversexualization). It surprised me when the girl at Daea said she was saving for a CHAIN MAIL ':D

This is the kind of game I could have finished within half the time, but I didn't because of the fun of playing it, opposed to the games I only play to see the ending.

Congratulations, I await for the sequel

Could've had a more rewarding endimg o.O

well-done puzzles
Pretty hard before figuring the relation between the symbols and numbers

Was stuck on the 7th yesterday, played again and noticed the hint right in the beginning. Don't know if I would've finished the game without it xD

TurkeyOnAStick responds:

You're meant to scroll up when you see the bridge :( I really want this mechanic changed.

People already said that, but i'll second.. the 6th~8th speed up would be a good starting point.
I was able to write this comment >while< playing >__>

People don't like easy stuff, unless there's something interesting to do. And here there's not much to do except from enjoying the music and nice graphics... for 20minutes... or moving the character from one corner to another...

I don't know much about programming, but would it be hard to add something like, randomly, the player becomes short sighted, thus needing a better reaction; or the obstacles become invisible after x seconds, which would require memory.. or a 'hard' setting, with a 3x starting speed? [and some way to pause the game]

Really, I lost on the ~14th speed up because I got distracted and looked away from the computer o.O
The controls are interesting, though weird. (And on a review down there, a guy saying there's 3 obstacles probably considered the left&right one the same kind of obstacle)

Fantastic xD
Amazing personalities, even from the little robot

Very simple, not something very new, but does what it does very well, considering its lenght.
A longer version would be appreciated :D

Fights, musics, story & animations are very nice!

Though it'd be good if there was something in the options to make the game faster, like lowering resolution. Game was running pretty slow for me. And it seems that, not only for me, the thing of recovering BP isn't quite clear. It's common to give upgrade points even on defeat, in this kind of game, but I won't question that.
One last thing is that I think the combination of upgrading character + game modes is a bit weird O_o
I mean, if you are fully upgraded the game is probably going to be easy anyway. But ok 'xD

I'm not rating less because it was intentional, but I think there were other forms of passing this message
Crippled and illiterate are ok, altought not being able to read the signs was only a problema in the end (and not really, since both plataforms fall)
But the nearly blind is only a matter of luck and trial-and-error. For the message, it's ok, saying you'd have to get hurt and try and try to find the right way, and sometimes not know where to go.

But as a game, it was simply frustrating to know that, no matter how good I may be, I can't do anything not to fail the stage a bunch of times. It was more angering than frustrating.
This isn't a fail because it delivers the message successfully, especially in the ending for each disability, but it isn't fun to play. The only reason I didn't reagequit was because I wanted to see the end before making a review. And because of my computed lagging, I was playing nearly bling + spastic D:

Someone else said it, but not only the 3 last levels can be skipped, on the 4th last you can jump over the wall.
Overall, it just falls in rating as a game, not as a message
Others disabilities would be interesting. If it was shorter, too...
Maybe something interesting would be giving the player an option to try to go through with the disability or see the message without having to suffer anymore. Maybe, just maybe (since i'm optimistic), give the player a good ending, where you were good enough of a player to compensate for your disability, thus being accepted back into humanity (or maybe that's the secret?)

So I'm playing this "life" game everyone has been talking about. It's been fun so far! I have great expectations! Cool characters, awesome soundtrack (mostly), admirable attention to detail. Level design and progression system needs improvement, though.
